On the high Mountain
For a long time, chestnuts were the main nourishment for the ancients from the
mountain. Now the chestnut tree is less cultivate but the chestnut fields are still
here. If you get the chance to have a walk you will see mountains covered in these old chesnuts fields,
and you will realize how important this element was.
Every year in a village called Saint Pons we celebrate this nuts.

'herault cultivate around 70 hectares of Olive Orchards. The plants in the south are of many ancient varieties like Clermontaise,
Verdale, Amellau, Lucques, Picholine.
